Psychic Red Flags

There has been a massive uptick of fraudulent psychics and intuitives on social media platforms. Even I receive at least a couple of messages per week from fake profiles, most of them starting with the generic yet lovely greeting, "Grand Rising." These are people looking to prey on those who have followed anyone within the Spiritual Community. No true practitioner will ever message you to deliver a message. I've compiled a list of additional red flags that you may come across on these Spiritual Streets.

Provides Incorrect Information

• Claims that anything they say is absolutely true
• Claims that any service is 100% accurate and will show immediate results
• Uses fear to try and manipulate you into doing something you don't want to
• States they cannot connect to family members because they are in Hell or haven't gone through enough lessons on the other side yet

Provides General Information

• Everything stated is generic and could be easily applied in many situations; no specifics
• Nothing is unique on social media pages; everything is reposted from another account
• Recommends all clients follow the exact same protocols

Predatory Behaviors

• Someone reaches out and says that your ancestors have a message for you that they need to deliver
• Someone tells you that you have a curse that needs to be removed
• Says they are the only ones that can help you or fix the situation
• Pushes you into making choices on the spot
• Charges thousands of dollars for a reading
• Behavior changes when denied ​

Authoritative Behavior

• Talks down to others when explaining concepts or acts condescending 
• Does not want to see clients or students grow or succeed
• Makes you feel inferior or less than
• Makes you question yourself or your abilities
• Dismisses or disregards your experiences 
• Believes they should be your the only person you seek council from

Doesn't Respect Boundaries

• Reads your energy body without your permission or consent
• Taps into another person's energy without them being present or giving consent
• Doesn't respect and honor closed practices
• Has their own agenda

Trust Your Gut

You are still the expert on you. Use your common sense when dealing with anyone. If what a psychic says doesn't resonate with you, leave it at the door.

If a psychic gives you an emotional reaction like making you anxious or gives you a physical reaction like a pit in your stomach, that's your body communicating with you that something isn't right.
