When's the last time you energetically cleared your home or office?
Just as we should be maintaining our own personal energetic hygiene, it’s important to energetically maintain the spaces that we physically inhabit as well. Homes and buildings have the capacity to hold onto residual energies, so if we’re not mindful of clearing the spaces we inhabit regularly, they can start to feel dull and stagnant.
One of people's favorite things to talk about when they find out I'm a psychic are all the crazy things that happen in their lives and around their homes. Almost all of the home stories end with the same follow up question, "do you think my house is haunted?"
I always giggle a little bit when I'm asked this question, because what isn't haunted at this point in modern society. Everything now is built up on ancient lands, so it's silly to think that nothing has ever crossed over within your property lines.
I think that people freak themselves out by using the word "haunted" when what's really happening is a Spirit trying to gain someone's attention.
I grew up in somewhat of a food-centric family, which has catapulted me into what some may describe as a “foodie”.
As a child, we ate dinner at my grandparent's house almost weekly. My grandpa Armand would create elaborate spreads of different salads and hors d’oeuvres. Platters brimming with vegetables, antipasto, sauces and whatever creations he dreamed up were omnipresent — every, single, meal. His hearty, homemade soup was a welcome favorite in during cold Chicago winters.
Our family meals would often entail long discussions of meals previously enjoyed, restaurants visited, and would likely include plans of the next meal to be consumed, even before the present one had ended.
Food was my grandfather’s love language. His meals were revered, and if you were lucky enough to have him cook for you, it would likely be a meal you’d remember a lifetime.
For those of us who struggle with anxiety, even the smallest of tasks can feel overwhelming, almost paralyzing at times. One of the best things that we can learn to do is be proactive in how we manage the symptoms of anxiety so we don’t get consumed when we’re triggered. Having an arsenal of tools at the ready can help to combat anxiety when it starts to creep in.
I’m used to starting off the year with flowery, uplifting prose about how we can tackle our dreams, and achieve anything we want over the coming year, but this year has been different. It started for me on a much different note than I’m used to, and has shifted my trajectory, to say the least.
