Why Ultra Violet is the most Magical Thing to Happen to 2018

Have you heard Patone’s announcement for the color of the year? After one of the colors of the past year was Rose Quartz, I began to wonder if the magical vibes would continue to permeate their way into the coming year as well.

​And guess what? They have! Last week, Pantone announced that the color of the year is Ultra Violet 18-3838! I could hardly contain my excitement when I saw the magical and cosmic choice! 

One of things that piqued my interest most about the choice of Ultra Violet is that it also refers to light that is beyond physical light on the electromagnetic spectrum. We use Ultra Violet light, more commonly known as blacklight to help us see things that are beyond what our physical eyesight can see.

This color also resonates closest to our third eye chakra, the center of our intuition and clairvoyance. The third eye chakra is actually a gateway that allows us to connect with inner realms and expanded states of consciousness.

I also feel that there is a strong connection with the Violet Flame.  The Violet Flame is a cosmic energy that assists us in transmuting hurts and traumas, allowing opportunities for forgiveness and healing to take place. 

So what does this mean for us in the coming year? It feels like this color yields intense power as it helps to usher in a new wave of awareness, on an even grander scale than we’ve already been experiencing over the past few years.  It feels like with the support of the ultra violet wave washing over our collective consciousness, there will be new knowledge, new understanding and big shifts among the collective. 

Wondering how you can harness this magical and transformational energy of Ultra Violet? Here are my top 3 tips for working with Ultra Violet energy in 2018:

• Spend more time under black lights! I actually set up spaces in my home that only have black lights.  I use these spaces to calm my brain, meditate and do my spiritual work.  I've noticed that my clairvoyant abilities are stronger and that I am able to see with more clarity in the black light. 
• Connect with Amethyst! This is one of my favorite stones – I think I have at least one in every room of my home! Though the colors of an amethyst range, the deep purple varieties resonates very closely to ultra violet. You can use these as home or office decor, or as a tool to connect with while meditating. 
• Call in the Violet Flame! When I need to transmute heavy, dense or stagnant energy and I am drawn to work with the Violet Flame, I will call in either Saint Germaine, Archangel Zadkiel or Quan Yin and ask them to assist me in moving the Violet Flame through my energetic body, transmuting energy that is no longer serving my highest and best good.
